| Subject Overview: |
This is a continuation of Chinese 2A. By the conclusion of this subject students should have mastered the basic grammatical structures of Modern Chinese and have a vocabulary of approximately 1000 characters. Students should have sufficient listening and speaking skills to cope with everyday situations in China. They should have basic knowledge of Chinese cultural practices. |

| Assessment: | A mid-semester test 10%, a composition test 10% (in the last week of semester), a final 2-hour exam 30% (during the examination period), regular vocabulary tests 10% (ongoing), 10-minute oral test (examination period) and a 30-minute listening comprehension test 20% (examination period). |
