Subject Overview: |
This subject aims to heighten general awareness of the Japanese language and to enhance the acquisition of Japanese, particularly in aural and oral communication skills. Students will be introduced to Japanese sound systems, characteristics of communication strategies common in Japanese, and sociocultural aspects of the Japanese language. |

Assessment: | Written/oral work totaling 2500 words 60% (due throughout the semester) and a final examination 40% (due during the examination period). |
