This is an advanced subject in which students learn to discuss, read and write with confidence about a wide variety of topics in Indonesian. Indonesian reading materials include a variety of short literary texts and articles about current events in Indonesia. |

| Objectives: |

| Assessment: | A 2-hour examination 50% (due during the examination period), a 5-minute oral examination 10% (due during the examination period), three essays of 500 words each, together 30% (due early semester, mid-semester and late semester) and continuous class participation 10%. Students are required to attend a minimum of 80% of all classes in order to be eligible to take the examination. |
