Subject Overview: |
This intensive language subject is an introduction to the German language for students who successfully completed 126-126 German Beginners Language and Culture A. It will deepen the aural, oral, reading and writing skills acquired in semester 1, with emphasis placed on writing and comprehension skills. Students should also make sense of and participate in a variety of communicative situations presented in German. |

Assessment: | Oral, aural and written assessment totalling 1,400 words 35% (during semester), a mid-semester test 15% (in class). 2-hour written exam 50% (during examination period). Students need to attend at least 80% of the classes to be admitted to the examination. |
