Course Overview:	A Graduate Certificate allows you to complete a comprehensive six-month course of study, choosing from more than 25 discipline areas. It is particularly useful if you are returning to tertiary study after time away from an academic environment.
Objectives:	Demonstrate an independent approach to knowledge that uses rigorous methods of inquiry and appropriate theories and methodologies that are applied with intellectual honesty and a respect for ethical values. Apply critical and analytical skills and methods to the identification and resolution of problems within complex changing social contexts. Act as informed and critically discriminating participants within the community of scholars, as citizens and in the work force. Communicate effectively. Commit to continuous learning. Be proficient in the use of appropriate modern technologies, such as the computer and other information technology systems, for the acquisition, processing and interpretation of data.
Course Structure & Available Subjects:	Total 50 points with a maximum of one first year subject. No Specialisation: Subjects totalling 50 points chosen from any of the areas below. No more than one subject may be taken at first year. Entry Requirements:	An undergraduate degree, or equivalent. Admission process

Further Study:	Successful completion of a Graduate Certificate may allow you to enrol in a Graduate Diploma, or Postgraduate Diploma or some Masters by Coursework programs.
Graduate Attributes:	Demonstrate some knowledge and understanding of selected areas of a specialisation or across discipline areas. Access and appreciate national and international debates in their specialised areas of study or across discipline areas. Qualify for further graduate study in related areas to the area of specialisation or in the case of qualified secondary teachers, subject to Government rules, be able to teach in the area of specialisation.
