Subject Overview: |
In this subject students will build on writing, reading, speaking and listening skills acquired in 116-121 (French Beginners Language and Culture A). Students successfully completing the course should be able to write accurately in basic French, using the range of grammatical structure studied. They should also be able to perform specific functions in oral situationsm including information seeking, describing people, places and things, story-telling and asking for and giving advice. |

Assessment: | Written work and class tests 20% (due throughout semester), a 2-hour exam 30% (in exam period), one listening comprehension test 20% (due during semester), one oral test 20% (in semester) and an oral exercise 10% (due in semester), and a hurdle requirement of 80% attendance. |
