| Subject Overview: |
This subject explores the interlocking themes of identity and ideology in a variety of Asian contexts. It examines how the ways in which people define themselves - "identities"- are affected by socially-structured systems of thought - "ideologies". National ideologies and identities from across the Asian region will be explored in conjunction with study ethnic, religious, class, gender, and regional forms of identity and ideology. |
