Subject Overview: |
This subject introduces students to key principles of organisational management within the context of the arts industry. In addition to generic management issues, students will be asked to identify and analyse issues unique to the arts industry. Students will be introduced to relevant case studies from a diverse range of arts organisations illustrating the application of strategic planning, communications strategies and board development. |

Assessment: | Written work of 5000 words in total consisting of a short analytical piece (1000 words 20%), a major piece of assessment (2500 words 50%), and a group project and class presentation with an individual documentation of same (1500 words 30%) due throughout the semester. |
