Subject Overview: | This subject is designed to strengthen weaknesses in aural comprehension of music. This subject caters specifically for student needs, and may embrace such particular areas as; intonation, rhythm, comprehension of form, harmonic implication in melodic lines, chordal movements and their logical progression. A fundemental component will be listening sessions, how to listen generally and what to listen for specifically in music. The subject will especially allow for the individualistic nature of aural perception. |

Assessment: | Continuous: Preparation and commitment as demonstrated by performance tasks and/or a regularly updated journal of activities embracing all areas studied (50%) - Hurdle requirement 80% attendance.Formal: A practical aural examination of approximately 30 minutes duration on the material studied in this subject (50%). |
