Subject Overview:

Ethics; Standards or practice; Insurance and indemnity; Quality Assurance; Referral practices, terminating a series of sessions.

Objectives:

On completion of this subject, students will have gained:

  • Knowledge and practise of ethics of GIM therapy;
  • Knowledge of standards of practice;
  • Knowledge of private practice issues relating to insurance, indemnity, quality assurance, referral procedures;
  • Knowledge and practice in bringing GIM therapy to closure.
Assessment:

Participation in class discussion. Leading a one-day GIM workshop and written essay on the experience through self-reflection, responses of the participants, and what was learned from the experience.
