The minimum level of performance required for this ensemble would be equivalent to AMEB grade 8 or a very high grade for VCE solo performance. An audition may be required. |

Subject Overview: |
The Melbourne University Symphony Orchestra plays an extremely important role in the performance activities of the Faculty. Students selected to play in the Orchestra gain invaluable experience through performance of works from the symphonic, choral and concerto repertoires under the guidance of guest conductors who appear with the orchestra each year. |

Assessment: | This subject is marked on a Pass/Fail only basis. Assessment will be on a pass/fail basis and will be based on punctual attendance at and participation in all rehearsals and performances as directed (100%) Less than 80% attendance will result in a fail. |
