Subject Overview:

Faculty of Music Choir is a large group that performs works of larger scale with orchestra. Members are helped to reach a high level of vocal ability during the course of the semester as well as learning a work for performance.

Objectives: On completion of this subject students should be able to:
  • show technical development as ensemble musicians
  • participate with ability and self-confidence as a team member of a performing group
  • perform selected repertoire to concert standard
  • identify and exhibit specific knowledge of a range of ensemble repertoire
  • exhibit an informed respect for the values and principles of ensemble performance.
Assessment: This subject is marked on a Pass/Fail only basis.

Assessment will be on a pass/fail basis and will be based on punctual attendance at and participation in all rehearsals and performances as directed (100%)

Less than 80% attendance will result in a fail.
