Usually completion of 37.5 points of Italian at intermediate or post-VCE level for third year, or admission to the postgraduate diploma or fourth-year honours in Italian for fourth year. The subject is designed to introduce students to a particular theme, issue, movement in the cultural and/or literary development and history of Italy. Topics will vary according to current research and teaching interests of academic staff. They may include a study of aspects of early modern and contemporary Italy, individual texts studied in their historical and cultural contexts using a range of approaches and methodologies. |
