Overview: Economics

The Department of Economics in the Faculty of Economics and Commerce offer a 112.5-point major and 75-point minor in the BA. Students intending to major in Economics should note that Mathematical Methods is a prerequisite for this program. Introductory Microeconomics must be completed before entering Introductory Macroeconomics, Level Two Intermediate Macroeconomics and Intermediate Microeconomics.

75 points of this major, and all 75 points of the minor are taken as part of the breadth component of the BA.
