Subject Overview:

This subject consists of two or more components arranged to suit the specific requirements of each department:

  • Brass, Strings and Woodwind: Orchestral Materials.

  • Percussion: Notated Materials and Genres.

  • Guitar: Development of Repertoire, Sight-reading

  • Keyboard: Accompaniment, Sight-reading, Improvisation skills

  • Voice: Languages, Vocal Materials.
Assessment: Continuous: Preparation and commitment as demonstrated by performance tasks an/or a regularly updated journal of activities embracing all areas studied (50%) - Hurdle requirement 80% attendance.Formal: Appropriate to the specific requirements of each department (50%).
