This subject will introduce students to different genres of concert and theatre music through engagement with live performances by Melbourne's leading companies and visiting performers. Genres covered may include musical theatre (including opera), orchestral music, choral music and chamber music. The subject will be structured around attendance at four live performances. On completion of this subject students should have:

Assessment: | Four tutorial projects (500 words each) submitted throughout the semester (40%); attendance and participation (15%); 2000 word essay due at the end of the semester (45%). |
