Dr Dvir AbramovichSubject Overview: | This subject focuses on advanced modern literary texts, including study of contemporary Hebrew writers in prose and poetry, modern conversational idiom, and newspaper and academic articles. At the completion of this subject, students should have read, and have acquired an understanding of, selected advanced scientific and academic articles and essays. |

Assessment: | Written essays 50% throughout semester, a two hour exam 50% at the end of semester. |

Breadth Options: | This subject is a level 2 or level 3 subject and is not available to new generation degree students as a breadth option in 2008. This subject or an equivalent will be available as breadth in the future. Breadth subjects are currently being developed and these existing subject details can be used as guide to the type of options that might be available. 2009 subjects to be offered as breadth will be finalised before re-enrolment for 2009 starts in early October. |

Students enrolled in the beginners stream or intermediate stream should enrol at seocnd or third year level. Formerly available as 109-018, 109-403 and 183-403 Hebrew 4A. Students who have completed 109-018/403 or 183-403 Hebrew 4A are not eligible to enrol in this subject. |
