Kay MargettsSubject Overview: | This subject builds on student understandings of the essential elements of an international education and how they might differ from a national focus. The subject examines profiles of leaders in IB schools across the world and addresses some of the challenges they face in their roles. Analysis will also focus on case studies of schools at the leading edge of change in international education. The preparation required for leadership in international education and questions about values in international education will also be explored. |

Assessment: | Two written assignments of 4, 000 words each: A case study analysis of school leadership in relation to issues in international education (4, 000 words) due mid-way through the semester; A 4, 000 word paper addressing leadership issues in international education due at the end of semester. |
