Course Overview:	The Graduate Diploma in Arts (Gender Studies) is designed for graduates who wish to become acquainted with recent developments in gender studies and feminist theory. The graduate diploma is similar to an undergraduate major and offers a comprehensive program of study in gender studies. The course is suitable for general interest or professional development purposes and does not require a research project or thesis. Graduates are provided with a pathway to higher degree study and may qualify for entry to the postgraduate diploma or the professional Master of Development Studies (Gender and Development). Objectives:	Students who complete the graduate diploma should: become acquainted with developments in past and contemporary feminist theory and practices; understand the issues involved in debates about feminist knowledge; develop an understanding of contemporary feminist debates about gender politics, self and subjectivity.

Entry Requirements:	The minimum entry requirement is: an undergraduate degree in any discipline.
