The course is suitable for general interest or professional development purposes and does not require a research project or thesis. Graduates are provided with a pathway to higher degree study and may qualify for entry to the postgraduate diploma. The course is designed for graduates who did not major in environmental subjects in their degree but who now wish to do so, and for professional people who may wish to upgrade their qualifications in the environmental area. The course aims to provide basic instruction in areas of environmental studies that lead to an understanding of the environment, sustainability and the social forces that affect the environment.
