Subject Overview:

Individual project in a field approved by the Head of School as not otherwise available in the School of Music's regular subject offerings, and for which appropriate supervision is available.

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of this subject, students will be able to:

  • independently analyse and solve musical problems of significant cognitive difficulty

  • show with self-confidence extensive knowledge of a specific musical subject area

  • express lucidly in writing their comprehension of complex musical concepts

Assessment:
  • Individual study project of 4000 words approved by the Head of School (100%).
