Subject Overview:

Individual project in a field approved by the Coordinator as not otherwise available in regular subject offerings at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music and for which appropriate supervision is available.

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of this subject, students will be able to:

  • independently analyse and solve musical problems of significant cognitive difficulty;

  • show with self-confidence extensive knowledge of a specific musical subject area; and

  • express lucidly in writing their comprehension of complex musical concepts.

Assessment:

Individual study project of 4000 words approved by the Coordinator (100%).
