Subject Overview:

This subject covers analysis of four music tapes with case material, including Serenity; Conversations; Inner Odyssey; Body Tape.

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of this subject, students will have analysed music programs, and gained skills in:

  • Analysis of the music structure of the program;
  • Analysis of the psychological impact of the music;
  • Understanding the therapeutic effects of the music programs on clients' experiences.
Assessment:

A major paper (3,000 words) exploring an aspect of Guided Imagery and Music, with case material.
