Subject Overview: Students undertake 22 days supervised teaching practice and observation in the sectors in which they wish to qualify, together with peer observations and school-based field work.
Objectives: Not available
Assessment: Successful classroom performance and the ability to operate independently both within the classroom and within the wider school community as judged by Faculty staff in conjunction with school supervisors; along with satisfactory completion of lesson plan logbooks, including a record of observations and classes taught, self-evaluations; a substantially original unit of work consisting of at least five lesson plans together with detailed introductory notes; and a written report on a designated segment of the teaching experience. Total assessment equivalent to 3,000 words (100 per cent).
