Subject Overview:

Over the course of this 50-point unit the students will research an area of CCD or philosophical concept pertaining to CCD practice. Under supervision they will develop a research paper of up to 12 000 words that shows the synthesis of CCD theory, practice and research.

Objectives:

On completion of this subject the student will:

• demonstrate the capacity to develop and realise an independent research project;
• display an ability for intellectual discourse and analysis;
• confidently communicate written skills;
• exhibit the skills to interpret, analyse and problem solve;
• demonstrate an ability to engage with contemporary CCD theory.

Assessment:

12 000 word dissertation, or community project and dissertation of at least 6 000 words
