Overview:

The minimum entry requirement for environmental studies honours is completion of all the requirements for the BA, with a major in environmental studies and an average grade over the second/third year subjects within the major equivalent to at least an H2A (75%).

It is not possible to complete honours in environmental studies on a part-time basis. Students must complete the honours year full-time over two consecutive semesters of study.

Structure & Available Subjects:

The Environmental Studies honours is only available to students who have completed the 105AA Bachelor of Arts (Heritage degree) Environmental Studies major.

Environmental Studies offers pure honours study only. Students must complete:

  • A combination of two Core Research subjects (total 75 points); and
  • One Core Coursework subject (12.5 points); and
  • One Honours Selective subject (12.5 points)

Total: 100 points

Subject Options:

Students must complete a combination of two of these subjects (GEOG40002 and GEOG40008; or 2 x GEOG40007) to make up 75 points.
