A study score of at least 25 in VCE Latin or 107-153; 670-205; 670-359/CLAS10007 (Beginners Latin B) or 107-149; 670-201; 670-355 Intensive Beginners Latin or an approved equivalent.

Subject Overview:	This subject extends and reinforces students" knowledge of Latin grammar and syntax. The close examination of Latin linguistic forms and structures provided by this subject is designed both to increase students" understanding of how the Latin language functions, and to facilitate the reading of complex literary texts studied in other Intermediate Level Latin subjects. On completion of the subject, students should have consolidated and expanded their knowledge of Latin grammar and syntax, and improved their Latin reading ability.
Objectives:	have consolidated and extended their knowledge of Latin grammar. have improved their Latin reading ability.
Assessment:	Weekly exercises equivalent to 2000 words 35% (due during the semester), a mid-semester assessment test equivalent to 1000 words 25% (due in Week 6), and a 2-hr examination equivalent to 2000 words 40% (due in the examination period).
