Overview: The minimum entry requirement for Australian Indigenous Studies honours is completion of all the requirements for the BA and a major in Australian Indigenous Studies with an average of at least H2A (75%) in second and third-year subjects within the major, or equivalent.

Structure & Available Subjects:

Students undertaking pure honours in Australian Indigenous Studies must complete:

  • Australian Indigenous Studies Thesis (37.5 points); and
  • MULT50001 Research Principles and Practices (12.5 points); and
  • four honours Australian Indigenous Studies subjects (50 points) listed below.

Students undertaking combined honours in Australian Indigenous Studies and another discipline must complete:

  • Australian Indigenous Studies Thesis (37.5 points); and
  • MULT50001 Research Principles and Practices (12.5 points); and
  • one honours subject in Australian Indigenous Studies (12.5 points); and
  • three honours subjects in the combining program (37.5 points).

or

  • Honours thesis in the combining program (37.5 points)
  • two honours subjects in the combining program (25 points); and
  • three honours subjects in Australian Indigenous Studies (37.5 points), excluding MULT50001 Research Principles and Practices.
