Subject Overview:

The aim of the Master of Nursing (Research) is to contribute to the advancement of nursing knowledge through academic and clinically based research.

Students work throughout their candidature under the supervision of a supervisory panel on a research topic reported in the form of a thesis. In most cases candidates will be required to complete methodological courses of study during their candidature.

The degree is awarded on the basis of examination of thesis. Marking of the thesis will include at least one external examiner. The thesis should be about 25,000 to 30,000 words in length excluding tables, illustrations and references.
