Objectives:

Students who complete the postgraduate diploma should:

  • demonstrate a sound understanding of the main developments in past and contemporary historical theory;
  • understand the issues involved in debates about historical knowledge;
  • become acquainted with the contemporary debates about the relationship of historical theory to other areas of social enquiry.
Structure & Available Subjects: The Postgraduate Diploma in Arts in this area of specialisation requires:
  • Thesis 12,000 words (37.5 points)
  • Electives (62.5 points)

Total 100 points - subjects are 12.5 points each, unless indicated otherwise.
