Objectives:

Students who complete the postgraduate diploma should:

  • have an understanding of the philosophy and scope of geography as a discipline;
  • have undertaken advanced study in a specialised branch of geography as determined by the student;
  • have acquired expertise in research skills and methods used to assess and analyse physical and/or human geographical processes;
  • have undertaken research in a specialised branch of geography of their choice and submitted a thesis.
Structure & Available Subjects: The Postgraduate Diploma in Arts in this area of specialisation requires:
  • Thesis 15,000 words (50 Points)
  • Honours Coursework subject (50 Points)
