Specialisation Requirements:

Candidates complete the Graduate Diploma in Italian in the stream appropriate to their background in the language. Three streams are offered:

Beginners Stream
For candidates with no or very little previous knowledge of Italian:

  • Six compulsory subjects (75 points)
  • Two elective subjects (25 points)

Intermediate Stream
For candidates with four or five years of high school Italian (or equivalent):

  • Six compulsory subjects (75 points)
  • Two elective subjects (25 points)

Advanced/Post-VCE Stream
For candidates with a minimum of VCE Italian (or equivalent):

  • Six compulsory subjects (75 points)
  • Two elective subjects(25 points)
Total 100 points
