Subject Overview:

Candidates prepare a lecture recital on an area appropriate to the student 's performance interests and specialisations, and related to the topic of the student's thesis.

The lecture recital would normally be given at the end of the second year of candidature.

Objectives: On completion of this subject, students will be able to prepare and present with confidence an articulate lecture on aspects of their instrumental speciality, and demonstrate critical independence and research skills appropriate to the literature in their field.
Assessment: This subject is marked on a Pass/Fail only basis.

A public presentation of a one-hour lecture recital on material related to the student's thesis and performance to the satisfaction of the examiners.

Both the topic and the performance date are to be approved by the Research and Graduate Studies Committee.

Assessment is on a Pass/Fail basis.
