Subject Overview: The subject covers:
  • the clinical features;
  • aetiology;
  • epidemiology;
  • severity and prognosis of developmental disorders;
  • traumatised infants;
  • infants at risk of and who have suffered neglect and abuse; and
  • infants at high risk including infants with parents who have serious mental illness or intellectual disability parents with intellectual disability, borderline personality etc.

Assessment: 100%: One written assignment submitted at the end of the year (3000 words max).
