Subject Overview: To provide an understanding of the clinical pharmacology and clinical utility of drugs in various system disorders, cardiac disorders, including cardiac failure, hypertension, arrhythmia, hyperlipidaemia, respiratory disorders, haematological disorders, neurological disorders, infective diseases, oncology and haematology. In addition, principles of epidemiology, clinical trial design and notification (including compassionate use procedures, post-marketing surveillance and safety assessment), animal and human trial designs and institutional ethics committees are covered.

Assessment: 50%: Multiple Choice Questionnaire; 50%: Short Essay Examination (Max: 2,500 words).
