Subject Overview: A study of the technologies which underpin information management and processing: types of computer systems and architectures; leading-edge applications of computer systems; a study of modern computer languages as a vehicle for learning and problem solving across the school system (eg. Microworlds, HyperTalk, Visual Basic); the expression of problem solutions in algorithmic form; the information system software development cycle. Related robotics and programmed control applications that meet the requirements of the Technology CSF. Issues associated with the teaching of programming and computer controlled systems.
