Overview:

Sociology is available as both a 100-point major and a 75-point minor.

Major:

Level 1 (25 points)

  • one Arts Foundational lnterdisciplinary Subject
  • one level 1 subject from the list below.

Level 2 (37.5 points)

  • Social Science Research Methods
  • 25 points of level 2 subjects listed below.

Level 3 (37.5 points)

  • Contemporary Sociological Theory (capstone subject)
  • 25 points of level 3 subjects from list below.


Minor:

Level 1 (25 points) consisting of:

  • Arts Foundational lnterdisciplinary Subject
  • One level 1 subject from the list below.

Level 2 (25 points) consisting of:

  • 25 points of level 2 subjects listed below. Students are strongly encouraged to complete Social Science Research Methods.

Level 3 (25 points) consisting of:

  • 25 points from the level 3 subjects
The capstone subject is not available in the minor or as breadth studies outside the BA.
