Overview:	Islamic Studies A major in Islamic studies usually consists of eight 12.5-point subjects, totalling 100 points. It comprises: one first-year core subject and one first-year subject in any Arts discipline (25 points); and three second/third-year core subjects (totalling 37.5 points); and three second/third-year optional subjects (37.5 points).
