Course Overview:

The graduate diploma is similar to an undergraduate major and offers a comprehensive program of study in English literary studies. The course is suitable for general interest or professional development purposes and does not require a research project or thesis. Graduates are provided with a pathway to higher degree study and may qualify for entry to the postgraduate diploma.

Objectives:

Students who complete the graduate diploma should:

  • develop a knowledge of several areas in the study of English;
  • understand the main theories and concepts relating to these areas of study;
  • appreciate the significance of these ideas and issues in the context of English as a discipline;
  • develop skills of analysis in relation to specific areas of English.
Course Structure & Available Subjects:
  • a minimum of five core subjects
  • a maximum of three elective subjects

A total of 100 points - subjects are 12.5 points each, unless indicated otherwise.
